Naperville Christian Academy Calendar

Student Arrival Time: 8:10 am to 8:30 am
Classes Begin: 8:30 am
Kindergarten Dismissal: 11:45 am
Grammar School Dismissal (Grades 1-5): 2:45 pm
Upper School Dismissal (Grades 6-11): 3:15 pm

Students should not arrive prior to 8:10 am.  Any student on the school grounds before the Student Arrival Time or after the Student Dismissal Time must be under the supervision of a parent.

For students in the Grammar School who have siblings in the Upper School, a supervised play or homework time will be provided until 3:15 pm.  Please note that this service is provided only for students who have siblings in the Upper School.  One teacher is available to supervise the students, and we cannot have additional students who do not have siblings in the Upper School staying during this time.  The only exceptions are that Grammar School students who are carpooling with a family with Upper School students may stay for this supervised period, as well as children of a parent specifically working for the school (e.g. a parent helping with art cleanup on art day).

Lunch
Students in Grades 1-11 bring their lunches to school.  Students eat under the supervision of a parent lunch monitor.  Milk is provided by the school for a fee.  Each Wednesday and Friday, the students enjoy hot lunch.  We will inform you beforehand of the date and type of lunch.  Students in Grades 1-5 have a 20 minute supervised recess after lunch.  Lunches and any other items being dropped off for your child should be left in the hall outside the classroom or placed in the child’s backpack.

Chapel Services
A Chapel Service is held each Friday morning from 8:35 am to 9:15 am.  Our speakers include faculty members, local pastors, missionaries and ministry leaders.  Attentive, courteous conduct that is honoring to the Lord is expected at all Chapel Services.  Parents and siblings are welcome to attend Chapel Services.

Field Trips
Classes participate in various field trips throughout the year.  Permission slips are sent home to parents prior to field trips.  We welcome parent volunteers to help drive for field trips.

NCA Board Meetings
Board Meetings are held on the third Monday of each month.  Parents are welcome to attend the open portion of each meeting at 7:00 pm.  If you plan to attend a meeting, please send email to the school office (office@ncaclassical.org) by noon of the Friday prior to the meeting with a brief description of any topics you would like to discuss.
